Here are the results from detailing my neighbors truck yesterday. The following steps were done: dawn wash, clay entire truck, z-5,z-6,z-5,z-6. It took about 6 hours for the process but it was very dirty. How much should I charge?

I didn't do any serious swirl removing just the Z-5 which I wouldn't really call a swirl remover.:D No interior work was performed just a complete exterior detail: tires, wheels, wheel wells, wash, clay, polish, polish bumpers, etc. I ended up charging $80 since he has helped me out in the past with some things. I'm planning on doing my Acura this weekend because it felt very neglected while all this was going on. Pictures to come.

Quick question: Would it be alright to use the Zaino quick detailing spray to lube the clay instead of the car wash? I know it would be more costly but would it be alright?

Thanks for all the comments, J.T.

I would use Zaino car wash in a spray bottle diluted 1:16 with distilled water for the clay lube. (or any generic car wash will work too)

I think Z6 might be a little too concentrated for claying.

$75-80 seems about right for just wash, clay, sealant.
