Detailed Cattarulla's BMW (lots o'pics)

The Cattman himself wanted me to detail his 2001 BMW 325Ci. The best thing about working on his car is that it was in nice condition already so I could spend my time working on the little things. He let me drive it from his condo to my house and keep it overnight - a first, I think, as he never let's anyone drive his car. Steps and products used are:

WASH - Duragloss 901 and two new 100% cotton chenille mitts

CLAY - 3M clay and E1 Wet Wipe & Shine

POLISH - DeWalt 849, Meguiars yellow pad, 1ZPP

SEALANT - PC, Meguiars yellow pad, Klasse AIO

WAX - Pinnacle Souveran by hand

WHEELS & TIRES - Shampoo to clean, Mothers Clearcoat wheel polish, and Zaino Z16 dressing

John's Bimmer is looking good these days.

Oh, just as a point of reference, who's wheels did you steal and hide in your garage? :p

Those are wheels I had on my '97 Infiniti QX4. They're about 5 years old and I need to sell them.

Nice job. Pinnacle really darkens the paint. Did you ever try it over AOI + SG?

No, I'm not a huge fan of SG. I used AIO as a base because of past successes I've had with it under carnauba. Besides, the latest info I have from Terry @ CMA says that SG shouldn't be topped with wax because it could become cloudy or smeary.

Looks great!

Pinnacle Souveran never tends to disaapoint me :D

BTW: I love using AIO as a base before a carnauba as well. It is an amazing all around product.

Nice job!

I'll tell you, the WG/Souveran combo on red looks outstanding!

Still playing on the SC430 weather permitting, but tested on one fender and it looks really nice!

Have yet to try AIO.

The BMW looks nice and highly reflective! Don't change a thing for black BMW paint!

Awesome Work Bret, that black looks awesome. Very reflective and wet looking on an awesome car like that. Is Cattarulla from NJ??? Reason I ask I noticed the dealership license plate frames on the BMW are from Jersey. For a moment there I though you lived around here, which would have been pretty cool.

Bret did an awesome job on my car, it's NEVER looked so good. He said, "CATTMAN, if you can find a swirl on that car, I'll eat it." He's going hungry, still no swirls.

Only problem is that now I have to QD it every day (the pollen dust here in ATL is out of control) just to keep it looking good. And I had to walk to work in the rain the other day, because I didn't want to ruin the job that Bret did. LOL!
