Did a good friend's car last weekend (free). Like any used black car, it was covered in swirls and needed some TLC. Overall, it wasn't too bad for 53k miles.
-Wash w/DP Extreme Foam formula via Foam Gun
-Dry w/Cobra microfibers
-Clay w/DP clay
-Optimum Opti-Seal on wheels
-Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0 via Flex XC3401 VRG + LC orange 6.5" light cutting pad
-Wolfgang Finishing Glaze 3.0 via Flex XC3401 VRG (and some areas with a PC) + LC Green 6.5" polishing/finishing pad
-Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 w/PC + blue finessing pad
-Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel (buy one get one free right now)
The car had a clear bra installed....we did not want to remove it for various reasons, and most of the swirls in those areas were in the clear bra itself. I tried Plexus and other plastic cleaners to no avail....Finishing Glaze 3.0 did nothing, so I ended up using the entire process used on the paint on these areas as well. The clear bra areas did not come out as good as the rest of the car, but we can always remove it in the future and polish the underlying areas. However, there was a dramatic improvement overall.
After washing, drying with the Cobra HD Guzzler:
Optimum Opti-Seal on the wheels:
Some before shots:
After:
50/50:
Unpolished:
Polished:
Another 50/50...driver's side is polished, passenger side unpolished. Pretty obvious difference in terms of optical clarity and depth.
Some afters....this was the morning after, after a 200 mile adventure from the night before, so ignore any bugs or light dirt (ie exhaust tips).
