Excellent work!

Do you have any issue with those 7.5" pads and the backing plate? Mine don't seem to fit .

Could you take a close up picture of how your pad sits? Please?

themightytimmah: Shoot u got thta right :D

PaulTso: You buy...... then I come over your place :D

tdekany: I didnt use the stock BP. I went and bought the Meguairs 6" BP. I only use LC 7.5" and MEG pad 7.5", I have no problem so far.

I am not using the stock one either. Bought it from Autopia I think and have the same LC 7.5 pads as you.

are you sure that is a 97? because the e39 5 series came out in 96 as a 97 model and the e34 5 series' that you detailed ceased production in 95. In fact, technically, there is no 96 5 series at all.

How'd you like the DP clay? :lol Which polish you like best? Freaky how much you went at the paint.

Nice work ken! Why did you feel you had to use an orange pad right before LSP? I'd have expected a white polishing pad at least.

Did you do test runs first or did you know right away which product/pad combo will work?

Are you using the Variable Contact pads or the flat ones? Size? Did you polish with the pad flat or tilted?

Did you add any pressure or just use the machine's weight?

Sorry for the many questions. I'm just really curious about processes. :D
