Yesterday I detailed a 65 Stingray. It was restored over ten years ago and had a lot of simple flaws (orange peel, some stress fractures around some edges etc.) The clear was PITA as it was pretty hard. Since the entire car is fiberglass I was unable to measure it with the paint gauge, so perfection here was not the goal. I got about 90% of the swirls out. Some just did not want to come out and I didn’t want to chase them down reducing too much clear. (yes the paint had clear coat) Swirls were pretty heavy, little bit of oxidation and haziness.
