Finally found some time to detail the GF's ride, here's the write-up.

History:

2009 335i xDrive

Sapphire Black Metallic

The GF picked this up about a year ago from a local dealership. It was a dealer loaner and had about 8,000 on it when purchased.

It had the expected amount of swirls/RIDS for an 18 month old car that was washed at a dealership for its 1st 6 months (it has since been washed properly over the past 12 months ;)). The heavy damage was on the bonnet and especially heavy on the bootlid. The goal was the paint correction and laying down 2 coats of 845 (Midwest winter is here).

PROCESS:

Wash:

ONR (2 bucket method)

Clay:

Sonus Green with ONR clay lube

Polishers:

PC7424 and PC7424XP (4" and 5.5" pads)

Polishes:

M105 as needed (which was all over) - Uber Orange Pad

Menz P106FA on all panels (x 1) - LC White Pad

Final Surface Prep:

Menzerna Final Inspection (MFI) on all panels.

LSP:

Collinite 845 x 2 - Uber Black Pad (speed 2.5-3)

Other:

Tires are dressed with Optimum Opt-Bond Tire Gel

Wheels hit with FK1000P (x 1)

A Couple Before/After Shots:

NOTE 1: I continue to possess no photography skills so a couple shots are less than ideal, but I try ;).

NOTE 2: There are several deep scratches on the lower right front bumper (car lost a battle with a pole). These scratches are through the clear so a repaint is in store for the front bumper come spring time.

845:

In addition to being a rock solid performer for ease of use and durability, this shot really highlights the "wet" look that 845 throws.

Thanks for looking!

Great job!

I am surprised to see those wheels on a 335. They are usually come on 328s.

The good news is that the paint is good on it.
