I detailed a 2000 Dodge Intrepid today. I wasn't able to get good before shots that show the minor swirling of the car because of the car's color. But the paint just looked tired and it didn't have that much shine. The owner said that it has barely been waxed since new.

Process:

Turtle Wax ICE car wash via Gilmour Foam Gun

Meguiar's APC+ on tires

Clay

Meguiar's M80 on Meguiar's polishing pad via Flex 3401

Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax via Meguiar's G100

Meguiar's NXT Tech Protectant on trim

Vacuum interior

After the car was done, I drove it over to the owner's garage and he can't stop saying "WOW!" The best compliment that he said was that it looked like new!

I have another appointment next week. I will do his other convertible!!!

I didn't expect to see gold paint to look this wet... What do you guys think?

The car looks good man. That's definitely a hard color to work on.

My suggestion: Take some better pictures of it. Take them outside, with the sunlight so we can see the full detail of the car.

Also, don't forget the little things like dressing the wheel wells and what not.

But from what I can see, the car looks good definitely paint glowing :bounce

The problem with taking pictures outside is that the AZ sun produces large amounts of glare! The depth couldn't be captured in this condition. There are also not much clouds around so the reflection couldn't be fully appreciated... hahaha!

from what i can see you got some nice gloss and decent depth on a hard color to work with. I'm sure the car looked a lot better in person than the pictures represent.

I definitely agree! And the owner agrees as well! Thanks for the compliment!
