Well guys, i decided to do some work on my 83 C10 for a parade/car show today here in town. Heres my following steps
Wash - MGC, 2BM
Clay - SS Clay Kit
Correction - UC via 10" Random Orbital (yes you read that right)
Correction #2 - Tried SwirlX after UC but didnt come out AT ALL like i wanted, very hazy, marred and cloudy looking, reversed with another coat of UC
LSP - NXT TW 1.0 by hand (one coat)
Tires - Westleys Bleche Wite followed by Megs Hot Shine High Gloss Tire Coating
Wheels - Megs Hot Rims all wheel cleaner
Interior - Quick Interior Detailer on ALL plastics, vynols, etc etc
Glass - Stoners Invisible Glass
I think ive gotten everything pretty well covered as far as that goes. When I initially got the UC, i was planning on going at it all by hand, well, i did part of the tailgate as a test spot and found out that not only was it KILLING my arm but i wasnt getting the results i wanted....at all. So, i got out my 10" RO (random orbital) with a foam pad and decided to just "try" a spot. It worked WONDERS compared to my hand. Heres some pics from start to finish.
Claying:
Paint Correction and Body Prep:
Tailgate 50/50s/Reflection shots from one pass UC via 10" RO (i tried anyway)
After 1 Pass with UC and 10" RO
Before 1 pass with UC and 10" RO
Me doing my work with UC and my 10" RO at 1am!
Random UC compounded paint pics (only 1 pass UC, no LSP yet)
The Magical 10" Random Orbital with only an ordinary everyday yellow foam bonnet!
