Today’s detail included this beautiful 2005 Bentley Continental GT! For those unfamiliar with its stats… V12 Twin Turbo 552hp @ 6100 rpms and 479 @ 1600rpms and AWD to boot! This vehicle belong to the same owner of the F430 and 760Li I posted. The cars sits outside 24/7 and if you all have seen the other cars, this wasn’t in the best of shape. Its lighter color did make it easier but the paint was a little harder then the other two cars I did. Weather was cloudy but the sun peaked out here and there to get some nice shots. Like the title says “I got picture happy! Trying to capture a majority of the swirls with my camera was a PITA because of the cars light color and me trying to figure out the right exposure and such. Anyways here was the process:

Paint:

Wash- Meg’s Gold Class

Clay- Sonus Detail Clay (Clayed as I washed)

Horizontal panels- Polished with Menzerna IP with polishing pad via rotary @ 1500rpms

Along with IP on horizontal panels the whole car got Zaino ZPC with polishing pad via rotary @ 1500rpms then slowed down to 1000rpms to finish.

LSP – Collinite IW845 by hand. (After application clarity, range and wetness went through the roof with this color!)

Wheels and tires:

Wheels cleaned with Meg’s Wheel Brightener diluted 50/50 and various brushes. Then rewashed with Meg’s gold class to neutralize.

Tires got Mothers FX-Tire Shine. For some reason in the pics the tires look REALLY shiny, after I took the pics I buffed with mf towel to reduce shine.

Wheels hand polished with Zaino ZPC.

Interior:

Vacuum, everything cleaned with woolite 8:1. Treated all vinyl, dash etc with 303, and leather got Zaino Leather conditioner. Glass cleaned with Stoner’s IG.

Total time 8 hours.

PICS!

Whew...all done. Questions and comments welcomed as always!

The more I worked on it the more I grew on it and the color. The only thing I would change is the wheels. Definetly a nice touring coupe!

Yeah, the wheels are too flamboyant for me. I don't really like chrome wheels, and those wheels make the car look too flashy.

Damn that is a clean *** car. Ooh my gosh that is nice. Paint looks nice and slick. What did the bill turn out to?

Wow  , Collinite did that??....Unbelievable crystal wetness. :2thumbs:

Thing that struck me was...why isn't the 760 parked out in the sun instead? I mean it's a freaking Bentley, not the "see 10-a-day Beemer."

First post...

Euro-- polishing did most of it, IW845 just added a bit :) Collinite IW845 on light colors = winner!

Trhland--refer to Sean's re-post of what I posted in the second paragraph lol

Everyone-- Thanks for the comments! It was a joy to work on and so was the F430.

Going back on Monday to do their Range Rover that is in VERY BAD CONDITION! That will be a 8-10 hour job minimum to get it back in showroom condition!
