Hi,i am in the market for a new detail spray, one that enhances depth of colour.Iam not to keen on the 'bright and reflective' look,i want something warm, deep.I havn't used that many types of detail spray to date, but theese are the ones i have used, which i found to be 'ok' Meguiars final inspection,Quick detailer,FK425,poorboys spray&wipe, spray&gloss, pinnacle crystal mist,Zaino z6 & z8,Mother's showtime,Autoglym,Instant show shine. So,let me have your opinions on what other products i could try,and their pros&cons. :)

FX-100 from FK-1 does enhance depth and color even on light colored paint. It could be classified as a quick detail spray but is actually a spray on sealant. NOT a cleaner, this is for an already clean car.

Directions say to spray on, wipe in, wipe off. It works better if you spray on and wipe it in rapidly until it disappears. Good MF towels are essential. I learned this little trick from Bence, an FK-1 afficianado and fellow member here.

No negatives other than the sprayer that comes on the quart bottle stinks. A four oz. mist type spray bottle is perfect. After a good shake very little product is required. I use less than one ounce for a 2004 Accord to give you an example. The results are exemplary.

It can be topped with #425 immediately to lessen dust accumulation if required.

I use Griot's Speed Shine more than any other detail spray anymore, but only on my car that I use carnauba wax on. A close second is Adam's Detail Spray, which is better suited if you're going to be using a sealant, although it works equally as well over carnauba. Adam's also works better immediately after washing to help dry the car off smoothly and without water spots.

I couldn't be witout either, but I use Griot's Speed Shine every day. There are lots of other very nice detail sprays out there, namely the Sonus Acrylic/Carnauba Spritz which I will also always have, but only use them on "special" occasions when the mood strikes.

You also cannot go wrong with Clearkote Quik Shine. It's fool proof and works very well over carnauba and sealant, and does not leave the finish shiny in my experience.

Wizards Mist N Shine is my choice. It is an excellent QD/gloss enhancer, smells good, and can be used on fresh paint.

I went through a couple gallons of the 425...but with Aquawax, I no longer see any need for a regular 'ol detail spray. Don't know if you've tried aquawax yet or not...but it behaves much like a QD...just performs like a wax.

i've been very happy with mothers fx spray wax... :)

I can understand you situation...I find most QD's will brighten or increase the reflectivity of LSP's. I attribute most of the "warm/deep" look to the actual LSP that I have applied. Case in point: IMO, Souveran epitomizes the warm/deep look...My QD of choice for Souveran is Meguiar's Last Touch (never tried Pinnacle CM or Sonus CS) because I find that most QD's alter the initial LSP look. Of course, just my opinion.

For true QD's, I like Fk425 and Poorboy's Spray and Wipe, I vary which one I use by the accumulation of dust.

I've found that Pinnacle Crystal Mist works wonders for keeping Souveran alive, but I don't use it as a QD, only after a wash job.

FX100 is also great after a wash, but as stated in an above post, is meant for a clean surface.

If I have a carnuba as my LSP, I use Griot's Speed Shine, I like it a lot. If it's just UPP or KSG, I like FK 425.

I think Griot's has a refill pack for Speed Shine now, (one gallon and a 35 oz. sprayer filled with SS) for something like $34-35.

Yeah you pretty much have to buy it by the gallon since Griot's shipping is so high. I have two 35 ounce bottles, a gallon refill, and an 8 oz. bottle for my motorcycle :getdown

The fine mist sprayer on their 8 ounce bottles is the best I've ever used. I really think more people need to get over their prejudices of GG and try some of their stuff. The Speed Shine, Car Wash, Vinyl and Rubber treatment, Spray on Wax, and Long Lasting Tire Dressing are wonderful. The mini red wax pads are nice, and I've heard good things about their Wheel Cleaner.

Their Hand Cleaner is so awesome, too. The only thing I've used that I didn't care too much for was the Leather Care, because it leaves my seats feeling a little tacky/sticky. Maybe I need to buff off a little more excess product next time.

I use GG Wheel cleaner diluted 50/50 on KSG'ed wheels, and absolutely love the Car Wash even though I initially thought NXT had more lubricity. The V&R treatment is good, though I find 303 does just as good a job for a bit less money.

Leather Care I like as well, though yes, you do have to buff a bit to remove the tackiness. It looke like they've lowered the price a bit too, but not quite sure on that.

The only reason I stay away from the GG polishes & waxes is because I have my favorites in Menzerna, Klasse & P21S./S100.
