Detail of '95 Black Emerald Maxima

I recently bought a 1995 Black emerald SE, that hasnt been so well taken care of. Lots of swirls, oxidation and an over all lack of care. All of the steps were done by hand, except for polishing with a buffer.

Washed with purple passion soap

Clay magic clay bar

Wolfgang concours-series pre-wax polish enhancer (by hand)

Meguiars mirror glaze #9 swirl remover 2.0 (machine w/ foam pad)

Meguiars mirror glaze #7 show car glaze (by hand)

Wolfgang concours-series deep gloss paint sealant (by hand)

Buffed out with a wool pad.

Before: (ignore the fenders, they've already been replaced since these pics)

That wasn't exactly the most tactful reply I have seen in Click & Brag.

Well they aren't the best pictures, however they show that the car is reflective (something it wasn't before). A great improvement. I think you may want to get a more agressive polish than the #9 now, though.

Get some shots tomorrow if it isn't too horrible out.

I didn't mean to come off as a total jerk, which I achieved. I've just never seen non-flash photos in a darkened garage meant to show off a detail. I think that is why there are so few responses here.

I took the pics at night because I finished doing the car at night, and I dont like flash pics at night because i think it looks strange. Yes daytime pics are where its at for showing off the detailing...which is something I have done with every other car I have ever detailed, but did not get the chance to do with this one. I"ll get some day pics up for you, and no its not buffing...its my own form of buffing in my mind, to remove the rest of the wax residue I may have missed, its something I"ve been doing for several years and it works well on my car.

Ahh, a '95 Maxima. Brings back memories :) Is yours a 5spd?

Does your antenna retract? I think mine was the only one in my area that actually retracted. Everyone else's was stuck all the way up, or halfway up.

I'm also looking forward to daytime shots.

LOL I have 2 '95's and the one on the left in the garage has a fully working antenna, and the green one does not but I removed it and used an amplified one in the windshield. The left one is auto, the right one is 5spd.
