Tex Star Detail

Formerly TexasTB
First thing I should say, and I kick myself.....I did not charge the camera last night:mad: :nutkick I had it on the list to do before I went to bed, but it slipped my mind.

Anyways. Up today was a WORK TRUCK.
1994 BLACK Dodge Ram. Longe Bed, Extended Cab.
And let me tell you, it was a work truck.

Megs #66 on entire truck with Orange Edge Pad (x3 on hood)
Megs #66 on entire truck with Blue Edge Pad.

Tires
Cleaned with Simple Green 1:1 (DIRTY TIRES)
Dressed with Purple Dressing (HIGH Shine--made by Car Brite)
Wheel wells dressed the same

Rims
Megs Wheel brightener
#0000 Steel wool
Mothers chrome polish

INTERIOR

I used EVERYTHING I HAD in my arsenal. Still had stains coming back up
Folex
Resolve
OXY
and about 10 other spot and stain removers

Megs APC on all plastic and vinyl
Quick Detail spray on all plastic and vinyl (by Car Brite)

All in all, it took me 8 Hours to complete....Kinda complete.....He said forget about the stains that were not removed...It is a work truck and he spills coffee in it everyday anyways. I gave gave him a card that has a free carwash amd more spot removal. He appreciated it. The truck still looked like crap to me, but we do not look at cars like everyone else. He was very happy with it and amazed. He said he will spread the word.

I handed out 28 cards to some very interested persons. Mostly Officers. Gave a few quotes, shot the breeze, and now waiting on calls:D
Of course, all were big arse trucks....LOL I gave some good deals to them. Most were almost new. Some have VERY MINIMAL swirls.

All in all it was a good day. Hot but good. Had my canopy up and still got sun burnt. think the temp was 103 today....on blacktop.

Sorry again for no pics. I really wish it was charged up...oh well.

Good job.
btw, as you are building your business, you'll find you'll get all kinds of crappy vehicles. be patient, just did a 97 Cobra today, after a winter of dog-filled minivans & contractor trucks.

I'm surprised a 94 Truck only needed #66 that stuff is just a tad bit more agressive then SSR1. All in all sounds like you had your work cut out for you. Good job and I'm sure it looked great.

Chris Congrats! I hope you book a TON of work from it!!

What kind of pop up do you have?

Trust me..it needed SSR 13. He said to "Do more than the automatic car wash does". He said he was not worried about the scratches and such. I mean this truck looked like it got hit by a tumble weed of barbed-wire. Nothing my PC could fix. he loved it though. It was shiney and slick as a baby's arse. The rims were shining and the tires blinding. It was a 94 work truck, nothing could help this truck....TRUST ME It was in desperate need of body work and a re-paint.

BTW.....I did sneek in some SSR 2.5 here and there...a bit of Optimum Polish....
I guess I was just throwing stuff at it, like a test mule...:D

Nope. Don't use anything. Though I haven't used it in any windy weather yet. I think I may need to get something though. I hear of people using sandbags, buckets of water, and weights from barbells.
