Detail Dome

This is a repost... but basically everyone said it was too expensive and too much work... good idea yes, but general functionality bad. I mean if your in a parking lot, you generally don't have all the space in the world and this would really diminish what space you actually have.

i dunno know about this it may protect the detailer from the rain, it's not gonna keep the clients car clean and dry when the detail is completed.

I cannot even imagine the heat and humidity in that thing during a warm summer rain.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Very nice & stores nice too just overpriced. Hey, Maybe they'll read this thread & lower the cost. Group buy maybe????

This is the second time I saw this product and the first time I stopped myself from making a comment. However there are some very specific things that need to be pointed out!

1. It has potential to be dangerous becuase there should be an exhaust vent hook up so that The exhaust fumes can exit. I know it sounds stupid however there are some not so intelligent people out there and I can see someone running the car in the winter to warm up the tent and the law suits to follow!

2. Being that I work in the outdoor industry I do know what it costs to make tents in general not to say that this isn't worth the money but... Its probably only costing them 1/4 of that price to actually make them

3. The only real Positive that I have for it is that it could double as a portable garage! If it were able to with stand a snow storm I would actually buy one!

It looks really neat. I like the idea of it versus a canopy type setup. I've never used a canopy for fear of it falling over in the wind and damaging a vehicle. I would feel more comfortable using that dome. Reasons I won't use it are cost, time and I don't feel I have a need for it. When it rains I stay home and enjoy the time off. I will admit though it would be damn nice in the winter with a small heater inside. Provide of course that me, the dome and the customers car didn't go up in flames.
