DAYUM - I just got back from Denver - went to Colorado Springs and got hit by a hail storm - did a number on my brand new rental car (a Toyota Solara - NICE CAR!!!!) -

looked like it was shot by a bb gun in a few places!!! -

How do you guys live there????

When I tell people that we get 150-200 inches of snow each year, they ask me the same thing. :D I've been out to Denver a few times. It's a beautiful city with a ton of stuff to do. Great restaurants, great sports and great things to do outdoors.

I've been in Denver for five years. (from North Hollywood, CA). I've lucked out on the hail storms. I'm usually under a port, a mall parking lot or in the garage. Just luck, but yeah, it is nerve-wrecking when I'm at work and It is pitch black outside at noon.

It's not like it hails everyday here, but it is rather frequent. I've been caught in a few storms myself. Pretty wicked. The weather here is awesome though. If you like seasons, there's no place better. Winters are actually very mild in Denver. In the mountains, that's another story. Denver actually has over 320 sunny days per year. Sunnier than Miami! Snow usually comes during the frigid nights but as soon as the sun at this altitude comes up, the it melts quickly. You'd be hard pressed to fly into Denver any afternoon in winter and see snow on the ground. Normal daytime temps in January are 45 degrees and its not unusual to have a 60 degree daytime temp. Plenty warm to be out detailing. I'm mobile and work year round, rarely does the snow or foul weather slow me down. You wouldn't believe how many people ware shorts year round out here. I'm from Chicago originally so the winters here are awesome. Denver also just got voted the best place for singles in the U.S.! It's truly an awesome world class city, very diverse and cultural but with down home cozy western charm.

Interesting statistic... The Denver metro area see's its largest population increases following earthquakes in California.

My Cousin lives in Denver so I was visiting - first time in Denver - did Pike's Peak, Colorado Springs, Flat Irons and drove up to winter park (the continental divide!)
