dent /impression on leather...

i had some seats in storage and some ****:hairpull dumped a heap of heavy boxes n stuff on a seat

now im left with a dent , where i assume the box has caused some stretching ?

ive put on a thick coat of conditioner and layed something flat on it to try and flatten it some and hoping the sponge will puff up again

any suggetions to make the best out of this? can heat help tighten it at all?

Accumulatorette had a pretty nasty impression on one of her seats from something like that, and it finally disappeared after a month or two. Give it some time before you get too stressed out about it (easy for *me* to say, huh ;) ).

I use to have that problem in my MB with the seatbelts when I laid the back seats down. Heat (natural) and humidity eventually took out the marks all but one time. Once it wouldn't come out after a few days, so I laid a damp black cloth (T-shirt) over the mark in the sun for a day and it popped back.

I have seen on TV an upholsterer use something very much like a clothing steamer to get out wrinkles in leather. Makes sense as the heat and water should shrink the leather slightly or bring it back to the "original" shape.

I would wait. My wifes car has a baby seat in it and after a while the marks left by that monstrosity go away after we rotate it side to side.

well a little update

i left a damp mf folded up over the damage and a flat weight on top...just enough weight to compress the cushion, and its now a good 80% better already..so hopefully over time it should get to a acceptable level
