Degreasing my *car wash interior detail*

grrr...just picked up my car from the shop. Their bodywork is impeccable....one of 8 shops in the country that have a carbench --- octupus setup that will work on a lambo....

but they sub out the *detail* to a local carwash and like all bodyshops...I'm sure there is a healthy glaze on the exterior. However, my @#$@@$$#@@ interior is straight up silicone city....grease galore. Thank god they at least did not touch the dashboard.

It's been ages since I've had so much silicone in the interior of the car. APC on the plastic and I might as well just LM Strong Cleaner the seats followed by cream conditioner.

They must have use the bucket/paintbrush as even the damm vents are SLICK.

Any special tips when removing typical high volume carwash interior products....

What you're planning is fine. The seemingly safest cleaner I have that is also very good with silicone is 303 vinyl/fabric cleaner at about 5-10:1. Works well on the silicone, but you can also wash your hands with it. It's my go-to interior cleaner.

it was pouring up a storm when I picked it up but I knew I was in for trouble when I looked at my cupholders and then started to scan the dash knowing all plastic, etc was probably touched. boy did I miss this....they even did me the *favor* of emptying out my center console and greasing up the whole interior of it.

now I know what you *pros* mean when you state you need to desilicone the previous guys jobs...
