To start off this write up I would like to share some information regarding this car.

This particular car is owned by a friend of my father and I. He is a very nice guy who has a love for cars that might just match my own. He knows a lot about a few different makes of cars and in my opinion 2 of the best. BMW and Porsche. He also has some of the best taste in cars I have seen. This particular 911 is absolutely AMAZING. Just some things that i notised that are after market were the wheels (champion wheels :) :) ), the exhaust system (:) :) :) ) and the cold air intake... ABSOLUTELY AWESOME CAR!!!!! He also has a 356 coupe that I will be doing soon.

Again, this guy is an extremely nice guy who deserves nothing but the best so i tried extremely hard to get his car as close to it as possible.

Also, i was joined by the Roanoke Times (local paper) on saturday to do an article on me. I guess you should PM if you have any interest in seeing it because i do not want to violate any board rules! It should be out sometime next week.

I worked P21S wheel gel into the wheels one at a time using the EZ brush, Swissvax brush and a LOT of q tips.

The wheels were pretty muddy however easy enough to clean up.

I washed the car as normal. However very few pictures here as dad was busy talking to the reported and not taking pics as i asked him to... :censored: haha... PLus it was FREEEEEzinG. the hose froze over night also. I used Dodo Born To Be Mild also.

After this, i moved the car inside to start detailing it. This is also my first detail in my new garage. The floor had to be taken out of it a month back and it has been worked on a lot since. I insulated it (got about half way done) the day before the 911 came in. It is also heated. However the heat escapes because it is not fully insulated however i would say it is around 60 degrees in there.

I also did not get many pics throughout the detail due to my disorganization of my head as I was explaining everything to the reporters of what i was doing.

However after the reporters left i was able to set to work.

I started on the engine bay using techniques that clark helped me with (thanks clark!). P21S TAW was used here. And then it was dressed with 303.

After this was finished I moved to the interior. The car is not driven much and is cared for regularly at another shop down the road. So basically all i needed to do was protect everything and clean the leather up a tad bit.

I started by cleaning and treating every sinngle peice of leather. That took forever as practically the entire thing was leather!

I hand applied Zaino leather in a bottle as it smells pretty good and isnt a bad product. Im looking into a few other conditioners as we speak.

I also protected the interior with 303. Heres a little 50/50.

Now moving onto the paint...

The car is cared for well however it has some washing induced defects. This is due to the previous detailer

I was able to get the paint 95% perfect with 2 passes of PO85RD.

Sorry for the lack of many pics however i was in a rush as I wanted to make sure that i got it done before i left for New Jersey (tomorrow).

I sealed the wheels with Poorboys wheel sealant.

Very nice. Another place you might look for heat escaping is through the garage door itself. There are some insulators you can put on the door itself to help.

Long story but one of my clients was talking to a friend and was saying good i am better then the previos best in the area and that im my age. And when they heard I import car care products from england they were amazed. It should be interesting the way it plays out.

Great job, the white looks dripping wet! Was the the transporter you had on in the background?

Steve

Is it white? We have a white VW EuroVan (i think they are called transporters in europe).

Thanks for the compliments btw. It was the first time I heard a client say the paint looked so wet! It made the 21 hours worth it!

From another Porsche C2S owner; VERY NICE WORK! :goodjob

As you'll find out, the paint is very soft and you can correct most everything with P085RD.

I see he also has full leather interior, it does pose a challenge in treating all the areas and to keep it clean. The good old Woolite mix works very well in cleaning. As for treating, Z-10 is a good product and may be a bit high on the leather aroma, but found that Sonus Leather Conditioner is as close as you'll get to new Porsche leather smells.

Engine bay is very tight, and packed with many sensors, wires and tubes which takes a deft hand in cleaning and treating/dressing the entire area. You have to find products that do not attract dust or you'll end up with a mess.

As you also see, the back end takes the most dust/dirt abuse due to the design of the car. I'm constantly cleaning that area quite often.

If you ever do a Porsche with ceramic brakes, which are easy to identify by the yellow calipers and dark grey rotors, be very careful if you do a wheel off cleaning. The owner MUST have the two "wheel hanger" studs to guide the wheel back on so you do not hit the rotor. Doing so, expect to pay upwards of $5K per rotor!

Wait until you have to do the whole underside of the car! It has a very long tray, plastic composite, that takes a good cleaning and treating.

Looks like he drives the car, as they are really ment to be driven.

I see he did the Fabspeed "cold air intake" tube upgrade. Covering that part of the airbox with the red plug disables the resonator, so the intake sounds are a bit louder.

Nice wheels, they look like one of the Champion wheels.

Once again, great work!!

Regards,

Deanski

Thanks deaski!!! Great advice!

They are champion wheels. The owner knows the president :).

The exhaust sounds CRAZY AWESOME!!!!!

Amazingly he does not track this car. He babies it like crazy but he does know how to drive so im sure he takes it through some twisties around here. He tracks his 1 series that is all tracked out. Its awesome!

Ile remember the composite break tip!

,Dan

Btw your 911 looks awesome too! Dad was thinking about buying this car... he hasnt lusted after a car in a long time but this time he did... only problem is like most peoples... the money hahahahha.
