Lets get down to business. Removing scratches in the paint where you can see the primer or metal. I know from experience you can remove normal scratches and buffs from paint if you can still see the paint. How about deeper scratches? My quess would be either wet sand or touch up paint.

If you see the Primer, you have 2 choices.
1. Touchup paint
2. Body Shop

I have been practicing, and i scratched a hood on purpose, where your nail will get stuck in and you can see the primer. cant remove it, i tried wet sanding, no can do!!

! did a similar scratch but not as deep (cant see the primer), that one I wet sanded also, started with 3000 and removed it when i hit it with 1000 grit.

I tell ya keys can scratch nicely.:D

Hi Loggie, sorry but you can see metal or primer, the only way to fix it is to build up the scratch with paint, let the paint dry, sand it level (with the rest of the paint, then blend it.
