Deep Cleaning Vinyl

Should be in the boat section but knew I would get more help here...

I was wondering if you could use a leather cleaner like leatherique or leather masters on vinyl seats in my boat. They have dirt caked in that I can't get clean with anything else and was thinking that something deep cleanign like leatherique might be a good answer but I'm hesitant on using it on vinyl. Any input?

I have had very good luck with Megs APC+ at 20:1 on very dirty leather/vinyl. Meguairs claims it is leather/vinyl safe. The only caveat is to make sure you don't spray it and get runs as you will be able to see cleaner spots.

Ive tried Megs APC at a very strong ratio...10:1 I think. Didn't do much. Boat seats are white, so they kind of have that permanent dirty film...but seeing how clean leather can get I feel like theres something out there that will deep clean that.

You could try a Magic Eraser or SoftScrub on a test area. Those are my hards hitters on plastic.

I'll second the Magic Eraser on Vinyl. I had a Cutlass Supreme convertible that was tripple white. Nothing I ever tried was able to keep the white vinyl top and interior panels clean with the exception of a Magic Eraser in combination with some dilute APC. The only caveat is that you have to be careful since your essentially using sandpaper to remove the dirt. With care and a lot of guts I even tried it the same technique on the leather, I found it worked well there too, but it was too easy to take off the colored coating, so I would avoid using the Magic Eraser on leather unless you absolutely can't find another alternative.
