Decided to polish out my car and reapply Opti-Coat

I put Opti-Guard on my Accord a couple years before I bought it from my Dad. Since I was doing a freebie on both their cars, I didn't do any polishing. And being a mostly cloudy day, I didn't see any thing that warranted polishing. Now that I've had it nearly a year, a couple areas, one on the hood and one on the trunk lid were really bugging me. The rest of the car was so minimally swirled it looked pretty close to perfect but I figured if I was going to polish the hood and trunk lid, I might as well do the whole car.

It was pretty hard to try and capture the swirls, because of the angle of the sun, it just showed bright sun flares in the metallic paint. However, after compounding the paint...

Yes, I know the chin spoiler under the front bumper isn't dressed, I was running out of areas still in the sun for pictures. I also know that the barrels of the wheels don't look clean but they are, bought those wheels used, did what I could to get the barrels clean and I also realize that I probably should repaint the mufflers and exhaust turndowns so they look black again. Sue me. ;)

It is not black, dark blue or red ;)

There was a dark blue one for sale when I bought this one from my Dad. Liked the color better, but it had 30k more miles and it was on a used car lot so I didn't have the history of the car. And I know how well my Dad takes care of his cars.

Always looked good Scott! Looks like new! Getting ready to do my wife's '06 Accord this fall.

Thanks! If I missed anything, no way to tell in the sun now, the metallic flake is blinding! Can't look at it very long when the sun is directly overhead.
