Decal Removal

Hello guys...i removed some decals from a car before polishing it and there is a huge difference in the colour that it was under the decal and the rest of the car...i tried to wet sand it with no luck.the paint is single stage and i almost removed all the paint without any luck for colour matching...Any ideas ?????

Nothing you can do man. It's just that the sun and elements have faded the rest of the paint and not the paint under the decal. Sometimes with time it'll get better but usually not.
 
yeah that's the bad part about putting decals on any car or truck. What ever is hidden behind the decals does not get exposed to the elements so when you finally take off the decals what's left underneath is practically brand new fresh paint.

Clearcoated too.



It also happens on window tint. I had some decals on the window of my old truck with tinted windows and when I took the decals off the tint behind the decal was darker than the rest.
 
yeah i just removed the decals off of our old parts truck, and even after a 3 step polish job, in the right light you can still see where they were. Best bet is just live with it.
