Debate Tuesday - v. FMJ x 2 Teg & Big Saab Cleanup

I've been getting some PM's/IM's by people pushing me to post more pics :lol . I got some time today to do some work so here we go.

First up, my teg.

I think I am cursed and blessed by FMJ all at once. Everytime I have time to work with my teg, it's always heavy clouds/overcast. Whenever I don't, it's gorgeous...Go figure.

Anyways, this is after FMJ x 2. First coat was about 2 weeks ago. I noticed a definite increase in glow/gloss and the same sharp reflections with a touch of wetness. Great look IMO. BnB on tires.

Next up, my girlfriend's Saab 9-3...

She had a little incident with the basketball hoop at my house this summer. It doesn't help with 7 cars in the driveway plus hers, but anyways...She knocked up the bumper and cracked the corner light to hell. The bumper was pretty much off. I did my best to repair it. I also buffed it pretty aggressively to remove a lot of paint transfer. She taped up the light. Finally found a reasonable deal on a Saab corner light (eBay baby). It came with an orange reflector so I cracked it up with a flat head screwdriver and voila! clear corners with OEM quality :)

Anyways, after this, my girlfriend went nuts with a Mr.Clean dry eraser on all of the plastic trim. BTW: It was raining through this. It was stained over time from different product slip-ups. The dry eraser worked wonders. It took all of the whiteness off and left a nice OEM matte look black. I then protected with PB's Trim Restorer.

The paint got S+W'd along with the rims. BnB on tires. Paint has EX-P x 1, CMW x 1, Natty's x 1.

Here is my PAC order that arrived today :D

Looks great I like the updated wheels on the sabb. How do you like that Detailer line dressing. Its water based right how is its gloss in wheel wells and on tires. ?

Fr0zen: Thanks. My girlfriend really wanted new rims for it but the bolt pattern is among the most odd in the business. I haven't tried the dressing yet, but will be using it this weekend. It's water based and I will be using it on the tires, wells, and dashes.

Both cars look great, the paint on the teg looks like it's ready to drip right of! I just picked up some Hyper dressing but haven't had a chance to use it yet, any recommendation on the best ratio for wheel wells?

Raven: I haven't touched it yet, but I mixed it up. VERY THICK...make sure you use a funnel. I spilled some. I talked to Scottwax from Autopia and he said do 2.5:1 for a nice medium gloss sheen (like PB BnB). 3:1 for a low gloss sheen like Armor All. I did 2.5 and will be using it all weekend and reporting results.

Nice how does it smell. ? I need a good water based dressing for the wells and engine bay.

GSRstilez, thanks for the info, depending on the weather I may give it a try this weekend too!

once again, your car looks amazing. The paint looks a mile deep. Post up your results with the Megs Tire Dressing. I've been using PB BnB and loving it but I'm always up for trying new highly recommended stuff :)

Sean, I guess you liked FMJ and the TR!!! Both the cars look very good, and the TR really adds a lot to your GF's car. All of the trim and the side mirrors look very dark with a nice sheen on them, it really makes the car look sharp! I'm looking forward to hearing how the Meg's dressing works (so is everyone else apparently!) so keep us posted...

Yeh, it seems to be the new hotness.

The reason I bought it is because of it's dilution capabilities. From one gallon you can make over 4 gallons depending on how shiny you want to go :)
