do i then need to wait again before layering on more glaze or topping with wax or sealant ?

how many layers is regarded as done ?

any general tips or hints appreciated

You use the glaze before you apply the wax. After the surface is polished, step up to the glaze. After the glaze, apply your LSP (sealant or wax) don't worry about layering your glaze, just concentrate on the LSP.

I've never used DWG over a wax/sealant right after applying the wax/sealant so I can't really answer the first question. I usually wait until the next wash to top a previous lsp so by than ita fully cured.

Though I doubt DWG has any strong solvents I think the mechanical action of applying it might disturb the underlying layer if its not fully cured if its a sealant. If its a wax I don't think there would be much of a problem since they don't need to bond with the paint like a sealant.

As for applying something over DWG I don't wait. Just apply it to the whole car, remove it, and apply the lsp. I haven't had any problems
