DACP vs. AIO

I'm about to order a PC + 6.5'' pads from CarCareSmart and was going to order some DACP as well.I already have a bottle of AIO which I have'nt tried yet.Are the 2 products comparable? The products I have are AIO,Megs #16,NXT.Along with assorted products from Mothers etc.I'll be detailing a black Dodge Ram with fairly good paint.Light marring(which the NXT seems to hide well),water spots here and there and a few light scratches. Is the DACP needed?

If you're using #83 by PC, you will probably need to follow up with another, milder product. Maybe get some #80 instead. Milder and more user-friendly. The AIO is basically nonabrasive. The #83 (and even the #80) are a whole 'nother ballgame.

You *will* need an abrasive to get rid of the marring, but I'd go easy. Give the #80 some serious thought.

I have to agree with Accumulator, #80 after #83 is great. After #80, you can then use AIO as your final glaze, but you may find that #80 leaves the finish so nice you will simply follow with your LSP, especially if time is limited.

I don't want to hijack your thred but can you

tell me what 3M product is the same as # 80 ?

And does anyone prefer the 3M product over the megs

using a pc? Looking for something easy for a newbie to

work with.

3M Perfect It III Machine Glaze is slightly less abrasive than Megs #80. They are close though.

I prefer 3M with PC and by hand. Get yourself some Perfect It III Rubbing Compound and the Machine Glaze. You can handle most of the problems you will run into with these two products.

What Stevet said :xyxthumbs The only Meg's (abrasive) polish I like *at all* is #80 and I doubt that I'll buy more of that when I use up what I already have. The 3m PI-III RC and MG are great products and as Steve said, they'll handle almost anything.

1Z polishes are great too, and very easy to use by hand. They leave wax behind so they might not be right for every application.
