Hey All,

I signed up two weeks ago and have since been running searches here on the forums and have found a WEALTH of information. So much that I haven't really felt the need to start any threads. :D :D Awesome site David!! I wish I would have found this site years ago.

A little about myself. I am a weekender type of detailer and mostly do it when I have a free day to myself. I have been using Zaino products for the past few years now and have been pleasantly pleased with it. Zaino is great, but has problems removing swirls as I'm sure some of you here know.

So anyway, i've done my homework and i'm almost positive DACP & SFP can remove my swirls. I've read up on Scottwax A BUNCH and various others who've used DACP.

My questions would be, what would be the best and next procedure after applying/removing DACP/SFP? Would I need to wash with dawn? Or can I just apply Z2/Z6 right on top?

I want to try the Vanilla Moose and Carnauba Moose Wax combo soon, but since I still have a ton of Zaino, I want to experiment with Z2 and DACP.

If anyone can recommend a sure shot method to co-mingle these two products I would greatly appreciate them.

Thanks in advance.

Wha I used to do, is DACP, SFP and then wash with dawn and then apply Zaino, nice results, but I also try DACP-SFP and then Z7 and then Z5 y Z2, no problem either

It is import to remove the olils from the SFP to let the Zaino Bond properly

Alexaris,

Thanks for the quick reply.

When applying the DACP/SFP by hand, should it be in a fast or very fast circular motion.

I can buy a Porter Cable but since Scottwax and others get amazing results by hand, I will try that first.

Thanks in advance.

I am not sure that you want to use DACP by hand. :nixweiss DACP is a diminishing polish that require a great of elbow grease to properly break it down. You might want to start with the SFP. Obviously if you have seen Scott's work you know that it works wonders when properly applied.

Yes, I would wash afterwards. Dawn is perfectly okay. What I do when I Dawn wash I concurrently use Z7. I wash one panel at a time with Dawn, rinse and then follow with Z7. I move on to the next panel until finished. Rinse entire vehicle and dry (WW). Prior to applying Z2/5 I wipe the vehicle down with a MF spritz'd with Z6 and inspect my work. If satisfied I proceed to apply protectant (Z2/5)

Straight line motion only. :wavey

Hmm... So only back & forth motion? Not circular?

Thanks in advance.
