DACP and Layers question

Last detail was:

Rinse with water

Wash with clearkote shampoo or meguiars gold class

Rinse with water

Dry with meguiars waffle weave

Clay bar whole car with clearkote claybar and clearkote quikshine

With a porter cable with a black pad, work in DACP ( Meguiars #83 proffsional lone ), wipe down with microfibre cloth

Polish with Clearkote Vanilla moose wax ( white pad ) and wipe down with clean microfibre cloth

Wax with Clearkote Carnauba Moose Wax ( black pad ), wipe off with another clean microfibre cloth

Wash

Dry with waffle weave

Once over on car with clearkote quikshine and a clean microfibre

Now I was wondering if I DACP again will I be removing the Clearkote Vanilla moose wax and the Clearkote Carnauba Moose Wax? And need to apply them again?

The other question is what would be the best next step for layers on the car? I only have the above Clearkote at the moment.

Vanilla, vanilla, carnauba?

Many thanks

Hi Rhodri,

Yes, it will remove the Clearkote products.

You can't really layer Vanilla Moose as it has cleaners etc. You can layer the Carnauba Moose Wax so you would be better doing one layer of Vanilla and then as many layers of Carnauba Moose as you want.

Cheers :).

Yes you will have to re-apply your VM and CMW if you use DACP again. Do you have more marring or scratches to remove since last time? If no then you dont need to do DACP again, or if you have random spots that need touch up just isolate them and reapply the products to those small areas not the whole car.

I dont see where VM,VM, CMW would benefit you only to the degree of maybe in the spots you missed with the first VM application. It seems that VM has cleaners in it that wont layer.

I haven't used the CMW so Im not sure if it has cleaners in it or not.

As a side note-did the black pad you used for the DACP the same type of pad you used for the wax application?

Sorry it was the Orange pad ( the harder one ). There are still swirls that are visable with bright sun, but not half as bad as the before DACP. The problem being I dont have the time today to do a whole deatil, so was going to do either DACP or the Clearkote, I though DACP would remove. Looks like if the weather hold a layer of VM and a couple CMW.
