DACP and Klasse...Quick question...Did a search already

I already spent a couple hours searching but havent found a definitive answer.

I am going to use DACP on my oxidized 12 year old paint. Assuming I work DACP enough and allow it to break down properly, will I need to use any product between DACP and Klasse AIO? In other words, will DACP will leave me a perfectly swirl free finish before I apply AIO and SG? If not, what product would you suggest (Possibly IP/FP then AIO)?

Thanks in advance

Dustin

Yep, IP and FP are a possibility if you aren't satisfied after the DACP. My standard procedure would be at least DACP then PI III MG. Follow with AIO and SG

I think it depends on the paint and your technique. I have never had to use anything between DACP and AIO, and I have used it on some black cars even. However, I have never used it on black German paints, and that's where maybe some of the people who have problems have been coming from. I have used it on black Nissans and red VW's not problem.

I think I may use #82....I recently found what seems to be a very cheap online source for meguiars stuff. Does it have any fillers or any type of oils i will have to remove prior to the Klasse twins?

If the oxidation is severe, you may have to go over the paint twice with DACP. Follow with #82 and you should be in business for final prep.

Well im about to order everything tomorrow. I'll be sure to post some before and after pics. (from better angles than this pic...it doesnt show the oxidation at all) Thanks guys

This is what the paint looks like, so the oxidation isnt too bad

Online source for DACP? You don't need one, go to Meguiars website and do a search for professional dealer locator. They should have DACP, SFP, HP, and a whole assortment of Meguiars BSP and Pro lines.

How about 3m SMR? A good in-between? Or P21S GEPC? (just trying to make use of what I already have)

AIO will remove 82's fillers.

Wouldn't it be more logical to stick with IP/FP instead of laying down fillers with #82 and removing them with AIO only to find the imperfections you thought you removed? Just a thought.

I had great results with IP ( where needed ) / FP prior to Zaino. No hidden little secrets jumped out at me later.

DACP is mostly abrasive, with a little bit of filler. 3M SMR and #9 are the ones with the all the fillers. I have never used DACP and then AIO to find swirls reappearing.

No, not just an online source for DACP, but a CHEAP online source for Meguiar's products.

Products aren't cheap my friend. Look in the Good Deals forum, there is an online site that is selling some Megs. products at pretty good prices.

The place in the good deals forum is the place im ordering from. I found it searching the web on google. The only reason im buying from them is my local places dont stock a couple of the items they sell, and the local places charge a lot more.
