DA foam pads: My GG6 is eating them

At least the ones I've been using, which are HF ones. The problem lies in where the velcro backing ends on the pad. Since the velcro doesn't mate to the entire surface of the backing plate, the exposed foam to the backing plate is getting chewed up, and thrown over the vehicle.

Is this a technique issue, or just a cheap pad issue?

Get a 5'' backing plate to use w/ the HF pads and you'll no longer chew them up.

There have been quite a few reports about the HF pads falling apart for different reasons. Why not just make the jump to a 5" backing plate and some quality pads. Here's a good source for Buff & Shine pads with good pricing and free shipping if the order is over $25 and under 5 lbs Buff and Shine - Autoality Incorporated In the 5 pack the pads are only $6 each and the BP is only $15.
