i have some paste wax in a can made for applying by a hand pad

could i rub a black buffing pad in and apply it to the hood with my da buffer porter cable?

just mainly want to do the hood

Just a precaution: I've used a liquid cleaner wax that didn't mention machine application and applied it via a DA. Even on #2 it seemed to work the product too much and sort of "carmelized" it onto the paint. Very tough to get off. It may be that the polishing agents weren't made for that kind of application, so if you were applying a "pure" wax, it may not have that effect.

Regardless, don't crank up the speed!

good catch there big leegr.........

you can do that but it find it takes more time than doing it by hand.....its very quick to do just a couple passes by hand and dip the applicator back in the jar. Than have to stop the machine rub it on the pad and start again. just my .02 cents but it can be done :bigups
