Okay,

here's the deal.. I'd like to give a paying customer 2 to 3 coats of either UPP or Klasse SG, but how to do this when we are supposed to let the 1st coat cure for 24 hours say ?

I guess that's a myth otherwise, almost each detail would be minimum 2 days

I'm interested to hear your feedback..

Some detailers come back the next morning and finish but details with a 12-24 hour cure...I have never really used the 24 hour cure...I dont believe in it, if you have the time on a customers car for sure take it, but if not I really see no problem in layering one after another...but I do wait about 3 hours between my SG coats...I only use SG on my best details which take over 48 hours to do and is advertised for show cars...

Every polymer sealant is different. The big Z with ZFX is 'claimed' the be almost instant, and others are varied. The 24 hour cure is a 'relative term' that varies on many other elements. It is meant as a guideline.

I have being in contact with Hi-Temp and their sealant takes 72 hours to set up.

A good polymer will cross-link and provide the protection that is meant, otherwise it is a waste of time to apply and think you are covered.

for most sealants, don't u just need to apply it and let it haze, or even wipe on wipe off for products such as klasse? i mean, even if it takes 45 minutes to haze, then u can wipe itoff. Hve the owner pick it up, and make sure it doesnt rain between the time he picsk it up and gets it home. Whne hes home, just park that baby in the garage and let it cure

Tumbler Klasse SG doesn't need 24 hours between coats as long as the 2nd/3rd coats are applied with no pressure to remove the previous layer .
