lets not go over how it happened but i curbed my wheels (2) one night a while back and i decided to fix them myself and i was quite happy with how they turned out. Luckily i have a spare set of wheels so i was able to take my time with the repair

The process:

between almost every step the rims were wiped down with paint thinner to make sure they were perfectly clean and free of any dust

Sand rash with 320 dry

Fill with Bondo spot putty

Sand with 400 dry

(repeat 2 and 3 until perfectly smooth)

Sand enitre rim with 600 dry

Spray with filler primer (a few good coats)

Sand with 600 dry

Paint with 1Z Silber Spray

Wetsand with 2000

Clear with Wurth

Let the clear cure and then 845

Looks a lot better, that was some serious curb rash.

yeah, you can still notice it but I mean it looks pretty damn good compared to the original. I might have to do this to my wheels haha, I got a couple of spots myself.

Looks way better than before, but like the above poster said, I still can spot some bondo since it wasn't done 100% perfect (ridges) but still great! Better than visible curb rash, this one you have to be close to notice.

yea they are not 100% but the $40 i spent beats the $240 i was quoted plus im going to college next year and the car might get nicked here and there. My goal was just to get them to look normal from a couple of feet away

That came out great! The luxury of having silver wheels...last time I had to do that it was on a clear-painted wheel...so no glazing putty for me!
