Well I did it. Preped the red RX8. PO85RD, RMG, XMT Glaze, #81 X 2, #5, #81. Then I to some PS and put it in a cheap pot melted it and added PSourveran paste then Polycharger. Apllied 2 coats Saturday. 2 coats cause I had plenty left over. Added 2 more PS coats Sunday. Looks stunning! Now to add Cs when wax is cured. Will it mute my flakes on my metallic red?

Deff post pics and thoughts on the effectivness of PC.

I am more interesed in seeing if CS changes the look of souveran I think putting a sealant over a wax ruins the nuba look, BUT I might be wrong.

Isnt using RMG,XMT redundant?

RMG and XMT are about the same. The XMT does not have the cleaning of RMG. It was just to add a little more nutrients to the paint.

Glad you got to use the polycharger with the PS. was wondering how much PS you melted and how much PC did you ad to it. I tried David B's technique with my fingers and approx and ounce of #16 and NB as a test, in small clean tupperware container. only added a couple of drops but the wax seemed to not return to it's original paste state. was more like a very thick milkshake. checked on them this morning and thye did not harden up. wonder if that is normal, maybe they harden up on the paint as solvents etc evaporate? also curious if you have to use the wax within 48 hrs, due to the fact that it will harden. bought a whole bottle but it seems like way more than I could possible use. maybe melting it down would be a more thorough method. did you wax return to it's original hard texture? tried some on a metal surface last night and it was weird trying to apply a wax that was something like a real thick polish. I only did a little bit in case something went wrong.

I melted about 1/5 jar of PS paste. I added 2 doses of PC. Waited but it never hardened. So I just apply the Green Soft wax. Very easy to apply and remove. Left a little in the jar overnight and it never hardened. Sunday added 1/5 jar PS and 1 doses of PC. seemed to be a little thicker but still never hardened. But it did give me good results!

Ok, thanks for your experience on the effect that the polycharger had on the PS. looked at my NB before work today and it seems weird that it did not get any harder. per the directions I did not use much but was surprised that I ended up with a very soft thick liquid consistency. guess I expected the mix to thicken up more. did apply the #16 and NB to a license plate last night to see what happened . went on strange and seemed to buff off easy. I had it on thick as I could not see much , when it was applied thin as I usually do. guess I will have to see about getting it on one of my rides and figure out if it worked.

I'm waiting for somebody to run tape down the middle of a car and do a real polycharger on the left/no polycharger on the right side-by-side at the SAME TIME comparison.

My question is what happens to the VOC's and gloss enhancing oils that distinquish one carnuaba from another when melted?

How is the chemistry and balance of ingredients effected by melting? Obviously something has changed if the example of PS presented here does not re-solidify. :nixweiss
