Got the call to detail this CGM STi again, did a full correction detail last summer pics here
The car is rarely driven and he said that it had barely been washed, only 1 or 2 hand washes by him early this year, only machine washes. He wanted the rear bumper and trunk especially clayed, as there was definately fallout all over it.
After washing, claying (the rear bumper and hatch were clayed twice) I inspected the paint, not a whole lot of swirls in the paint, but it felt rough. We decided on a 1 step paint cleaner and top that off with sealant.
Foam gun to wash
Meguiars Clay
Hi-Temp wheel cleaner
AIO with a yellow pad (my only white pad that I had with me was filthy, so I didn't want to use it)
NXT with grey finishing pad
Stoners on all exterior glass
Sonus exterior trim applied on cowl, etc.
#0000 Steele Wool and generic glass cleaner to clean up the exhaust tip, polished with Mothers Metal Polish
Final wipe down with Meguiars Ultimate Quick Detailer
All the before pics were taken inside the garage that he works in and the lighting was poor, so they came out really blurry, so I'm not going to bother posting any.
