Critique my new website PLEASE

I like the look and the functionality is fine, but the wording and formatting of the pages could definately use some polishing. Maybe add a larger photo log too with before and after pics, just something to consider.

I agree with chiken. The wording could use some polishing if you will. Very professional looking and I like the detail you go into and the explanations of procedures without getting too technical. What products are you currently using?

Before and after pics would definitely help, though unless you're doing a real nightmare of a detail they usually don't show much improvement except for close ups, so maybe a pick of a 50/50 panel before and after polishing.

Looks good overall.

On the home page, "Excellence in Car Care Management" is a little too spaced out so it's hard to read. You may consider moving the letters of each word in closer together. Also, I don't know that "management" is a good word for our profession. Seems like a foreign word in car care.

I really like your "Procedures" page with the pics corresponding to the brief descriptions of the steps. Very nicely done.

Everything else looks pretty good. I didn't read a whole lot of the wording though.

the only thing that turns me off is the black background. just looks :nervous: to me. great otherwise. just my opinion, you asked. :xyxthumbs

Nice site.

A Home link would be nice.

On results.html and procedures.html

use something like lytebox to allow the user to view a full size image.

Lytebox - Home

not only is it funky, but it adds ajax cool very easily to your site. lytebox will auto resize the image as well.

Also, on result.htm, its best to top left align the text next to the photos.

services.html

could do with becoming a parent page highlighting the services with link through to each service giving further detail. this adds another child level to the site and can help with breaking the flat file template feel of your site.

:up

From a consumer standpoint, I like the site and think it gives good information.

2 things, and just being honest here, you look young in the "about us" link and some before and afters would be beneficial.

Best wishes....................

Bigger high resolution photos would be nice. The M3 is cool but the Benz is Bling!

Over all, the site says "class" and it's sharp. But the front page could use more

and larger pics. Doesn't have to be entire vehicles, but close ups showing tight

details. Just some thoughts... :)

Very practical and easy to use.

I would recommend larger result pictures and zooms on details (trims, handles, lights...)

You might consider removing your picture because you're young and some (dumb) people will wrongly think you have no experience...

What does everybody think about my website?

Autobahn Detailing - Welcome!

Let me know :woot:

After reading the text, I'd have to assume your target audience is the fast paced, time strapped business professional. Yet the pages reflect more on what an Autopian might want to know. I don't believe that most MBAs care what sheepskin mitt you use or if you use filtered foam, etc. What I'm trying to say is that I'm not sure that the site is engaging to what I believe is your target customer. I service a lot of MBA's and they wouldn't read through the site. They want a page to see what you will do and how much it will cost. They like to see pictures that they can relate to. Before and after..."Oh, thats what my car looks like" shots and the thought is implanted that "He can fix that."

If I read it right, and this is indeed your target, you might want to offer services more attuned to that sector. How about pick up and delivery, on-site or mobile services? How about an on-line scheduling system. How about more before and after pics showing not only the cars but some actual happy customers.

You are spot on if this is your target as that is where the money is. These guys have the cash to spend and love driving a flawless car. Fortunately for us, they don't take care of their cars well and so they must keep coming back. ;)

Another thing MBA's like is to think they are saving money. Offer them a 5-10% bring back coupon good for 90 days. Add a link on the website to a 5-10% new customer discount. This way they think they are saving a bundle.

I's also add that I think your photo makes you look very young and may give the impression of not being seasoned or well experienced. I'd loose it and maybe replace it with a logo.
