Hey guys :)

In the middle of polishing my '94 Admiral Blue ZR1....shipped up to Canada from its original owner in Texas last week. Awesome condition, always babied HOWEVER some swirls/spiders/clearcoat scratches.

First step: Polish and Prep...I've already clayed using the Blackfire PolyClay.

My collection is as follows:

PC7336

Menzerna IP

Menzerna FP

Orange LC pad from cma

white LC pad from cma

grey LC pad from cma.

Now, my first step has been the orange pad, PC on 3.5-4, and the IP, great results...but i'm still left with some minor swirls and lines. My question is....is this to be expected after IP? or should i see NO swirls/scratches after the IP and only minor surface marring/haze? and what is "minor surface marring" defined as? lol

I have a few options now....

1) Stay with the orange pad, IP and crank up the speed on the PC (will this just leave the same marks?)

2) Switch to the white pad and IP at same speed

3) Switch to the white pad and IP at higher speed

4) Switch to white pad and FP.

I understood that the white pad and FP should only be used AFTER no swirls can be seen....i'm just a little hazy on what those swirls should be defined as.

Thanks people....much appreciated.

I would stay with the orange pad and IP. Turn the PC up to 5-6 and work the product well. Some areas may have to be gone over more than once.

IP and an orange pad should not leave much marring or haze.

Make sure to post some pics of that sweet ride when you are done.
