couple of questions about UPGP

when wiping on the UPGP does it matter if you overlap the wipes to ensure its even , or i should i wipe up n down in exact lines like mowing the lawn

what sort of low temps can this be used in? so far i like it and wonderred if winter top ups are possible

Its that easy, quick and economical you don`t have to be so precise.

Only one spray on the pad per panel and as `Bigpickle` told me `you just have to have faith that UPGP is applied where ever the microfibre pad touches`

:2thumbs:

its just the 2nd coat i put on i used straight up n down motions and ive got a few streaks left

it was 6.30 am and there was a little dew still around.

i think moving it around more will take care of it for the 3rd coat

seems good stuff tho....feels wierd being done so fast

I don't think the application motions make a lot of difference, but the dew would pose a problem since UPGP doesn't like moisture.

yeah i just saw that from the link you posted

my car didnt have dew on it...but i was hanging around certain places at that time of day

first coat went on almost perfect in early evening so i think i'll get the hang of it

david any comments on the low temps question?

what kind of temps can i use this at im winter, its pretty damp and grey all winter over here in UK , would that cause issues with using UPGP

Steve - I used it on some pretty cold conditions without issues, maybe 6-7 degs, but not in bad damp. Did rain once on a layer that was only 10 mins old and had no issues ;)

okay hopefully i can give it a top up in the winter...shame its always so damp n nasty here during the winter

at least you only need a short break in the cloud to dash out and wipe it over:brit

David, so the correct way of application is in circular motions or should i do it left to right then up to down method ?

okay just the 3rd coat after a wash with the ultima shampoo

to be honest it was a liitle bit of a chore, first i went around the car forever getting every last drip of water i could find , then as soon as i started wiping on the upgp once the panels flexed i got the odd drip of water come and cause streaks in that area

what do other users do if they hit a water spot? i found going back over that area once it had dried fixed it...although upgp really doesnt like water

oh and the sprayer head? anyone had probs? mine stopped working halfway round the car :( should i have washed it out after use

the car is looking really nice with it on...not sure id say the best it ever has looked , lets see how it holds up after rain and washing etc

Try using a leaf blower to dry before using UPGP. That will get all the water out of the nook and crannies. If you bought your UPGP from Autopia, contact Lynn and they will send you a new sprayer head. I had the same problem. How many coats do you have on now? Seems like 3 coats get the best results.

i wont be getting a leaf blower..i dont have my own garage/driveway

its the 3rd coat now...i'll inspect in the morning but i couldnt see a differance compared to 1 coat when i finished the 3rd, but i guess looks improve as it cures

The looks may or may not improve after curing. Some say some lsp's look better after curing like Duragloss Aqua Wax. IMO looks is the by product of your prep work and not so much the LSP.

I am still on my 2nd coat and i saw a big difference between the 1st coat as it seemed to make the paint glow.I do have a red g35 and it looks better then any wax that i have tried so i am going to go with the 3rd application as that seems to be the best way to do it.

yeah it does have that glow look to it..maybe a slightly deeper /wet look that some other sealants

i wasnt overly impressed with the shampoo...i dont think id buy that again, sure it suds up well but wasnt as slick as the duragloss i use

okay well i ran out hoping to get some pics...it rained the second i stepped out the door lol

heres one before it got wet
