Couple of question (placing an order)

Im going to be detailing a few buddies of mines cars. One is a yellow 04 GTO that hasnt been waxed since he bought it a year ago plus he lives were he cant wash it himself and its been ran through carwashes so lets just say it looks like swirl city. Atleast last week he clayed it somewhat for the first time. Im also going to be detailing a black car so keep that in mind incase there are some products that you guys prefer on black.

So with that said im going to be buying a bunch of products in the next day or so.

First I have a PC so im going to be buying an assortment of pads because im due for some new ones. Im going to get the lake country CCS 6.5 pads. I was thinking of getting 2 orange, 2 white, 2 green, and 2 gray. Do you think I can do away with the green or grays?

Also Ive been using terry cloth applicators that I realized has been marring the surface of the paint on my car so im going to be getting some microfibre applicators incase I apply something by hand its not marring the surface.

For Swirl/scratch removal I was going to get SSR2.5, 2 and 1. Unless anyone has something against that (I know everyone has there own opinion)? For now im just going to be doing small details here and there.

Now this is where I get stuck. What should I use after the SSR1? For my buddy with the yellow GTO, im probably going to seal it with poliseal or EX-P since he doesnt wax it frequently. But should I use something between SSR1 and the poliseal/EX-P?

Heres a few pics of my car. Ive been using some otc products and looks pretty good but its got some light scratches from washing and some smear marks from using to much product by hand. So im finally going to bite the bullet and buy some real products. I thought I knew a lot about detailing until I found this forum :nixweiss

First of all, beautiful GTO! Very nice color as well.

When I placed my first order with AG, I ordered the Poorboys PC kit. Came with everything and I've been very happy with it. I would say that SSR2.5 and SSR1 have tackled almost every job I've put it against so I would definitely recommend it. The only thing is that it does dust quite a bit, but I can live with that since I like to rinse down the cars after I polish them.

A product I wasn't too thrilled with was EX-P. Although the looks are great, the durability in my opinion was severely lacking. Probably because I was used to Zaino Z2 Pro as a sealant, EX-P is not match against it. It is, however, easy to use with the black pad and you can seal an entire car in a few minutes.

Thanks for the advice. For a small car I dont mind having to rinse it down after the SSR. However that might become excessive for a large vehicle. Im still going to get it but will have to find something for when I do trucks.

Did you ever try the poliseal?

On my own personal car I was thinking of doing Carnuba Moosewax since I wash it about once a week and usually wax it every other.

Well it looks like im going to try out the whole Poorboys lineup. I found there site and see that they sell their products in bulk.

So it looks like im getting SSR 2.5, 2, 1. EX-P and Nattys blue.

P1et, how long did EX-P last? Few weeks or a couple months?
