Couple of Ex ??'s

I tried Ex for the first time this weekend and like it alot. I have a couple of questions tho:

1) Should multiple coats be applied?
2) Does Ex contain fillers?
3) Is there a proven listing of polishes/glazes that there are no bonding issues?

I would apply two coats initially to provide complete coverage, a third coat in a couple days or a week will really maximize the look.

All products that contain wax will fill

I've heard of very few cases of EX having bonding problems with any polish or glaze.:hippi

Thanks for the quickie response

I put a quick coat on my F250 True Blue work truck. I knew it was swirled, but did not have the time to polish. One coat under cloudy skies and the swirls seemed to disappear?

I also did my daughters newly aquired used Honda Accord this weekend. Its a 1991 that was in real rough shape. I broke out the rotory for the first time and introducted holograms all over the hood with a Meg's yellow pad and SSR2.5 @ 1100 rpm. I ended up using the PC, an orange LC, SSR2.5 x2 and Ex x2. I did not notice any real difference after the second coat of Ex.

Good that means you did a good job with prep and coverage with the first coat:)

Here I am reading and posting while my EX "cures" :) As Steve mentioned multiple applications do improve the look IMO. The "visual return" does seem to diminish after the third application. Once you have three coats your finish will not only look good, but have a durable layer of protection.

One EX combination that I am not sold on, but have only used once, is CK's VM. I'm not talking about the look, as it is nice enough, but not strikingly better than other combos I've used. It appeared that the well prepped surface (wash/clay/#80/VM/EX) suffered in water beading in a very short period (weeks not months). Others have spoken highly of that specific combination (VM/EX) which did encourage me to purchase the VM in the first place. Of course, YMMV.

I never test those other combos , so i don't really know first hand, but i have two coats of the new EX-P on my Tahoe since before Thanksgiving and it's beading in the rain as we type:)

I'm back, and the Volvo looks great :) When I redo the Volvo, I am going to switch from VM to PWC and see how that performs.

I've got EX-P (x1)over AIO (x2) on the Wifal Unit's Silver Reflex (silver metallic). It sat out over the weekend in the rain, and it looked fantastic all wet and beaded up and shimmering :bigups This week I will add application #2 and #3 to it and it will be set (except for touchups) through at least June.

I might add......... EX has a tiny bit of cleaning ability. Therefore, if you add additional coats say......... evey 6 weeks to 2 months, your finish will continue to look great and that tiny bit of cleaning will help keep some of the contaminates off the finish............ that's a good thing! :bigups
