Chadwick's Auto Detailing
From the advice of you guys I purchased the 6in counter weight for my PC. It's not night and day difference, but well worth changing from 5in to 6in. The buffer worked smoother and may have been a little quieter. I think this i due to less strain on the bearings. Thanks for the advice. If anyone is contemplating changing weights, go ahead and do it.:xyxthumbs

I initially bought a 6" backing plate and counter weight then recently bought a 5" flexible backing plate. I didnt change the counterweight and I could feel the vibration. I finally changed it back to 5" plate and counterweight and it works like a charm. I personally prefer the 5" backing plate with 6.5" pads.

I agree with Beason, since buying the 5" flex backing plate and using the 5" weight the PC just seems to run smoother.

However I primarily use the 6' pads from CMA.

Also, I've come to rely on the 4" plate with the 4" pads for some of my detailing work.
