Could I use Menzerna 106 on windows to remove acid rain?

I've tried vinegar, rubbing alcohol, clay bar and One Grand Window Cleaner/compound (by hand).

I need to move to a machine and have a ton of 106. Should I go for it?

Definitely won't hurt anything, you can go agressive on windows. Do you have a chemical polish you can try? 1Z makes a nice glass polish.

I've used OHC on my side windows and it does remove most of the water spots. I only did 1 pass tho. I did not try it on my front windscreen tho. I only use DC1 wt a DA on the windscreen.

Yeah, you could also use SIP on glass, too.

Personal glass cleaning favorites:

Vinegar soaked Mr. Clean Eraser

SIP or PO106FF at high speed on rotary

Phosphoric acid based cleaner (don't get it on your paint)

You can also try chrome polish if you have that. The glass polish that I use is also supposed to be used on chrome, so I would image that all polishes of that type are interchangeable.

Don't use it on tint obviously...

Wish I could remember who the Autopian was that first suggested it so we could give credit where credit is due. I gave the vinegar and Mr. Clean eraser a shot after someone here suggested it. It does work very well.

Hmmmm, seems that these spots are ones to write about. Almost as though they have eaten into the glass. I believe that the previous owner parked the car in range of sprinklers, in the sun, and left it there, OFTEN, without care.

I've used some Menzerna on the paint last year, and while not perfect, it's coming along.

The windows though will have to undergo the PC treatment.

What do you think? Try SIP and an Orange pad to start?

:waxing:

Yup. You really don't have to worry about scratching glass with paint polish. The abrasives that they use in polishes meant for glass are *extremely* hard. Much harder than paint polishes.

You're safe with SIP and speed six on your PC.

side question here, would I still use speed 6 for the same thing but with the UDM? I am guessing no but I think I might be wrong :) :hm

How the 1Z glass polish on tough water spots?

It is okay. The Zaino has a bit more bite in my experience but it didn't get rid of all of them either. I may try the magic eraser next.
