Anyone share the same sickness?

That was the "sickness" he mentioned. When I saw this post I immediately went out to the garage and trimmed one to see for myself. Couldn`t quite get the brightness and layout just like his but close enough. Yep, it`s a sickness......

This towel I cut was actually a demoted towel that has been washed several times. After making it "edgeless" I think I may let it serve longer duty for interior work etc. I`m going to cut up some new ones and see how they work.

Hadn’t tried a Costco but did another generic one and had tons of linting issues. Any problem with these?

I haven`t done a lot with these on paint (otherwise why did I buy all those nice towels? :D ), but I have noticed slight linting on glass. I tend to use these in the winter for exterior window clean up to save my nice towels from all that filth.

I wonder how these will hold up to laundering when you cut the edges off? Seems like you always read about fancy cutting technology used on edgeless towels to help prevent fraying/disintegrating.

not sure but I`ll find out soon enough. I do know that when I trimmed the edges off there was small pieces of MF material EVERYWHERE. However, once I shook the towel out a few times it seemed to stop shedding. I`ll cut a few more and put them through the paces and let you know.

I`ll be interested in David`s response as it looks like he has been using these trimmed towels for a little while.

This actually what i meant. Linting after cutting. I would use this for most tasks if they didn’t have edges.

I wouldn`t worry about an edge on interior details unless it`s a high end car. I`ve found most MF will micromar on dark colors with the exception of suede mf and terry style mf.
