2015 Corvette Z06. Started detailing the owner's cars about 5 years ago, he's had a Camaro SS, C6 Grand Sport and C7 Corvette-says this Z06 will be it for a while so he opted for Opti-Coat.

2015 Tesla Model S in the dreaded blue. This one was in better shape than the last few but still had some areas with swirls and RIDS (random isolated deep scratches). Pretty dirty too, thanks to all the rain we've had.

ONR doing work!

Luckily the clear was so soft I didn't have to compound it to get the defects out.

2014 Mercedes AMG GL63. Replaces the Infiniti QX56 SUV his wife was driving-he considered another one but since the new ones didn't have an additional 150 hp and still had the hideous fender vents (as he explained to the dealer when turning it in...) he opted for something nicer. Guess since he has an S8, Lambo Hurrican and 50th anniversary Porsche Carrera, wife deserves something really nice too. Found this one in Wisconsin, a 2014 that hadn't been sold, saved a good $20k on it too!

Excellent shape, no swirling evident which was a nice surprise for something that had been in the dealer's care for a year. Went with Opti-Seal for protection, he seems to trade out his wife's vehicle every couple of years. Did opt for the glass coating though.

Fantastic as usual and you always keep it simple!!!

BTW -- Have you used the new Intensive Polish?? What do you think?

I have used the new Hyper Cut Compound (I think that's the official name but not positive) and it is definitely some stout stuff.

Yes, indeed...great work as per usual :D

Nice that the GL wasn't all messed up from its time at the dealership.

Scottwax- For some reason I like that you're still satsified with and using Armor All.

Scottwax-- I was refering to this post by Ron@Optimum from the 16th "OPTIMUM INTENSIVE POLISH - a middle level correcting spray polish with no dusting. Designed to optimize with any polisher and wool or foam pad, Intensive Polish will work more or less aggressively base on pad and speed chosen. Developed for professional detailers and body shops. Sold in 18 oz, 64 oz, and gallon sizes."

Seems like it's Hyper Polish on steriods.

Water based, medium gloss, doesn't sling, cheap and readily available, what's not to like? :)

I have not used that, no. Didn't even know about it. I do some testing for Optimum but not every product.

pwaug-turns out I have used Intensive Polish, its the old Hyper Compound. The new Hyper Compound is really aggressive.
