Well, we had the first NXT day at Meguiar's over the weekend and I would have to say it was not only successful, but everyone had a lot of fun.

This weekend, it's BMW's. Barry came to this weekends event and will be here again to interview people for Car Crazy Radio as well as talk shop with BMW enthusiasts.

Here's the link,

And here's one of Sandy's black 1963 roadster out in the sun,

Hey Mike, this is a question that probably only has one answer for you (being a Meg's employee and all), but is Barry a cool guy or what? He seems genuine with his passion for automotive detailing.

Hi blackcaraddict,

You know, I get a lot of hard questions, but this one's easy. Barry's cool. He's also a real car guy. He doesn't just talk the talk, he walks the talk. He was doing wet-sanding, cutting and buffing demonstrations in body shops when I was in diapers.

At the Corvette NXT day, he opened the Tech Session by talking to the club memebers about Meguiar's. He told storys and shared insider information that only he is privy to. Not only did all of the attendees enjoy listening to him, I did also. I have to tell you, Barry's presentation is a hard act to follow.

Barry's cool, I wish I could spend more time with him, I know I could learn a lot.

I will submit it to the club. Can you hold fifty cars?

Last time I suggested 60 cars, (It was Mini Coopers), at first it was a go, then someone brough up facilities, (bathroooms), and seating, and this and that, and then it was decided that at our current location, about the maximum we can handle appropriately is 25-30 cars with one car/one person.

Sorry,

I'll ask again though. I won't be able to discuss this until next week however as I'm trying to finish the new Meguiar's FAQ and then prepare to leave for Barrett-Jackson.

Looks like I'm detailing an all, or mostly orginal 1951 Allard J2

I don't have any openings until April and beyond. I don't have my calander in front of me, but I'll check it tomorrow and post the open days here tomorrow,

It's showing up now in stores. Should be in a store near you this week and for sure next week. Heck, if you come on by the office, I'll give you a sample bottle to try.

Judging from the attendees responses from this weekends Mini Cooper NXT Generation Garage event held here at Meguiar's, I think you're going to like the way it looks on your Viper.

Check it out here...

Looks awesome. Mike, you have a fun job it seems. :) Well, probably not all of the time.

I was talking to my grandfather of places to get 3M products locally (the local place stopped carrying them) and he gave me a weird look and said "Use Meguiars, 9/10 they make the best product." Meant a lot coming from somebody with 50+ years owning his own body shop. :up

Hardest problem is keeping up with e-mail, work/writing requests, clinic requests, and not dissapointing people who want me or someone from Meguiar's to be somewhere for an event.

I strongly agree with that statement. There's something to be said for people that have been there and done that.
