Awhile back, Ben @ 3D offered some of the new 3D Carnauba Paste Wax for a review. Link -> http://www.autopia.org/forums/3d-high-definition-car-care/179701-3d-carnuba-paste-free-giveaway.html
I was chosen as a winner and finally had the opportunity to use it. These two cars are in decent shape, but needed some final polishing for a local car show. Sorry for the low quality pictures. I was working in the shop with the owners who were tackling things like wheels, engines, interiors, etc. while I was polishing. Most of the pictures were taken after a long day when we were all ready to head home.
1962 Corvette
This was in tough shape and I didn't have time to do the proper defect removal so it got just a once over with HD Polish (to keep with the 3D/ HD theme). Some of the nastier spots were hit with some M105 first, too. I didn't do the wheels or tires on this one, as the owner was going to take care of that.
Some pictures of the car in the shop.
1967 Camaro
This was in a bit better shape than the Vette, but they had just installed a custom electric tilt hood so there were a lot of hand prints, smudges and light scratches from putting the hood on and off dozens of times.
The 3D Carnauba paste was very easy to apply and goes on nice and thin. I used a blue LC pad and my PC (4") and GG (5-1/2") to apply a thin even coat. The tin looks hardly used after two cars, so I would think this tin is about a lifetime supply! I wasn't a big fan of the smell as it seemed sort of strong like a solvent or chemical type versus the fruity scents that a lot of products have. The 3D paste was very easy to remove with no dusting or streaking. I'm kind of an old school Zaino and Collinite guy, so using a carnauba was a refreshing change of pace for me and the car owners were very happy.
