Correction Help needed.

I have some very small swirls and very light towel scratches/marks on the Vette and wanted to pick up a kit that I can use to correct this. I mean its very light stuff on the paint and the clear is hard. What would be the best alternative. I was thinking a flex 3401 or the rupes polisher for the tool. What would I need for pads/polish? Thanks again guys!!! I have been waxing for years but now I'm getting OCD in my older years :D

You could stick with Rupes Pads if you get the Rupes, as well as their polish if you'd like. You also do not have to prime the Rupes pads.
They have kits with the Compound, Polish and two pads if you're looking for a kit. Although, I doubt you will need a compound.

Other pads that are nice are Lake Country pads in my opinion and I tend to read that a lot of people like and recommend the Menzerna polishes. (listed here --http://www.autopia-carcare.com/menzerna-polishes.html -- is the link on this site as well as a chart of listed most to least aggressive)

Blackfire & Wolfgang polishes you can't go wrong with either. And then there is always the trusty M205, Meguiars polish.
 
Hmmm if I could pick anything from Autopia-CarCare.com to use on your Corvette I'd grab a Flex 3401 and upgrade to the Changeable Backing Plate System. The changeable backing plate system will give you the 4 inch backing plate, so you can use Lake Country 5 inch Hybrid Pads.

The more pads you have the better, but a good starter assortment would be 2-3 Orange Heavy Cutting Pads (for compound), 2-3 White Polishing Pads (for polish) and 2 Black Finishing Pads (for wax/sealant).

As far as the chemicals, I'd go with Menzerna FG400 for your compound and Menzerna SF4000. for your polish.

I'll let you have the fun of selecting a wax or sealant or coating for protection. :)

This is just my personal opinion as I really enjoy the Flex 3401, others may prefer the RUPES system.

I to have a preference for the 3401. I like the fact that with the forced rotation I never have an issue with the pad not turning regardless of the panel shape. As Vega said, I would get the Changeable Backing Plate System so that you can use the Lake Country Pads. My choice for chemicals would be the 3M HD Polish or the 3M HD Adapt. I have found that the Adapt has very nice cutting ability and finishes down extremely well on a wide variety of paints.
 
There are a ton of good personal preferences on this subject. My personal favorite is Duragloss 105 topped with a nice carnuba wax such as Nattys Blue or Petes 53. The 105 is an extremely durable sealant on its own - when topped with a carnuba it gives it extra depth and also increases the durability. For even more pop, apply a gloss enhancer such as Duragloss Aquawax or Chemical Guys V7 over the carnuba for an extremely "wet look".
 
Oh boy, the old "which wax should I use" question. Nothing stirs the emotions of a detailing forum like this question. :)

I'm assuming that the most expensive is not always the best?
 
Apply a glaze and be done with it in 30 minutes

Poorboys Blackhole followed by 1 coat Nattys Red, then 2 coats of Blue is the route you are looking for if you are wanting a flawless/mirror finish with minimal effort

It really is mood dependant, and what I'm trying to achieve.

Add natty's red to my list and you simply have a list of MY favorites.

Any and all the ones I listed are worth the price of admission.

Just my opinion

I'm 3/4 of the way through a correction on my 2014 Stingray. After much trial and error I finally ended up using Menzerna FG 400 (after mediocre results with the IP) using Megs Microfiber Cutting pads followed by PF2500 on a Megs MF Finishing pad. I've been using a PC DA but I kinda wish I spent the extra money got the Flex as people seem to like it better. This is my first correction so I'm new to all this but the clear seems very hard and many sections have taken multiple passes to completely correct.
