Correct Process Question?

Hello

I am planning on detailing my Red 99 Cavlier.

Plan:

SSR3 via LC white polishing pad
HT med or light cut via LC white polishing pad
AIO via LC white polishing pad
VM hand glaze
EX by hand x2
TS x 3

Correct?

Suggestions?

Thank You

is it that bad where you have to start off with SSR3.
Always go with the least aggressive first

Hello

My paint is that bad that i need the ssr3 but i have nothing in the medium abrasivness range. I talked to Steve and he siad that i shoudl use a polishing pad rather than the orange cutting pad. I should have really gotten ssr2 or 2.5 but i cant order anymore stuff.. says my mother hehe..

i dont think u need to start out there but if thats what u got i guess its ur only choice since ur med cut dosnt "cut it" (haha)

The HT-61 will be enough to take care of any micromarring left by the SSR3, the only other problem would be using both VM and AIO. VM has slight mechanical cleaning capabilities while AIO has chemical cleaning capabilities, so they will remove which ever was put on first. I would go with VM right to the EX. The VM may also remove the micromarring (if any) left by the SSR3, give it a shot first and you may save a step in there.

I think i will go just with the VM. I have heard that EX and VM are great together.

After thinking about it i have decided i will wait for a little bit until i am able to order more product. Money is not the issue , it goes back to parents just dont understand haha.

Just send back the ssr3 and get the ssr2.5 or 2...

I thought about doing that but i was going to get the entire ssr line just to be sure i have what it takes for whatever i have to detail old cars...etc

Try #83 then. You dont need the internet :)

ooo good call .. a loophole haha. I think i can order that from NAPA!

So if i did 83 via LC orange pad followed up by like #9?

Thanks

GREG

Ive never used #9 or #80, but people recommend #80 over #9 for some reason. NAPA might even have them in stock :)

#83 works best on a speed of 5, and stop just before it dusts for easy removal.

Do you mean #9 over #80?

Meaning 9 after 80 to clean up any possible hazing?

Our small town NAPA does not have them in stock but can have them in stock overnight so ill stop in monday! YAY
