Convertible top lint removal

What have you found to work best. I’ve been using an adhesive tape lint roller. I tear off the sheet once it’s loaded up. Wondering if there is a better one out there.

I carefully pressure wash it first, then wash with mild bristle brush and RaggTop Cleaner, rinse, then rinse and extract with the Mytee HP60..
Never have issues with lint after this..

That’s a through process. Ever thought about the extractor.

So far I washed with car wash, then applied rag top cleaner scrubbed north South east and west with horse hair brush. Rinsed until it ran clean. Then washed with car neutral wash to make sure all chemicals were neutralized. Blew it dry with master blaster and it’s inside the garage dry. I lint brushed it until I was out of sheets and it’s still not perfect.

I don’t want to waterproof it until the lint is off.

I didn’t see it on the Bed Bath and Beyond site but I do see Chewy has one

You guys talking about this? If so, for me it didn`t work nearly as well as the tape lint roller does. Of course YMMV.

That’s sorta similar to the one on Chewy but a different design. The one on Chewy is very similar to the one Bed Bath and Beyond sold. Yes, it is tape on a roll. The tape resembles masking tape and grips lint well.

My BMW has a black top and I`ve studied this issue. It sounds really stoopid - lint on a convertible top; but it`s real and real annoying.
I use a combination of methods; depending:

1. Tape / tape lint roller. This is the method I use least. Mainly because it takes the longest and when I`m done I have to throw something out. Consumables.

2. Dyson V6 cordless vac with no pole attached / assorted attachments. This vacuum is the Holy Grail for me for anything detailing that involves vacuuming. I have a 6 hp shop vac that never sees a car because of this. Dyson sells a car/boat version - which is simply the V6 Animal minus the pole. Will use an attachment to simply vacuum the top.

3. Master Blaster Sidekick / Kobalt 80v leaf blower cordless. Both extremely useful tools - you can blow much of the lint of with either.
