I was doing some reading here and a few other places and I'm kinda confused about the application of APCs. At work, I used one from Carbrite called Hot Stuff as a pre-wash on the usually really dirty parts, where bugs and heavy dirt accumulate, as well as wheels and tires.
Is this okay to do?? I haven't noticed anything go wrong, it actually works great on windshields and bumpers where bugs just pile up, but would prolonged use be hazardous to the finish.
At home I used Greased Lightning in the same manner. I rinse the car, spray the usual areas with GL, rinse again, then traditional wash with shampoo.
