Ok well I just purchased a 2004 svt lightning in bright red and it looks sweet it only has 9097 miles on it and the previous owner "waxed" it regularly. Very few light swirls and I can wipe them out no problem. I normally would have no problems with polishing the paint it seems to be rather hard on this truck. It also has many "rids" over the entire vehicle cannot feel any of the scratches 83 on the pc with a polishing pad wont touch them I have a rotary and use it often, I am trying to be the least aggressive as possible with this vehicle. 83 on the rotary with polishing pad seems to take them out except for a few deepers ones again all over the vehicle. I am only using the rotary at 1000rpm as I am trying to be super careful. I have 105 and 85 also which would be the better route and what kind of pad should I use wool or foam cutting. I would then follow it with 83 on rotary then 80 pc.....What would you do and why? Thanks Greg
If I go 105 on wool am I removing too much clear that later on down the road using something like 83 on a polishing pad with the rotary would be tooo aggressive as far as removing to much clear?
