Color Wax on a Single Stage Paint

Below Reality

Polisher of Shiny Things
I've got a car to prep for sale that falls in a little different area than I am used to.

The car has an aftermarket medium blue single stage paint that has a lot of minor spiderwebbing/cracking in the paint. It's nothing that flakes away or falls off the car, it's more of just an eye sore.

In my opinion, the car honestly needs a new paint job, but that's out of the question as the owner is selling the car (for a pretty bargain price) and he just wants to try and hide some of the cracking/spider webbing in order to make the car appear a little better. The buyer is aware of the paint's condition, so no deciet is really in the works here. The owner just wants to make it look a little better for the buyer.

Would a product such as a blue "Color Wax" possibly help the situation a little bit?

That's really my only idea on this one, but I'm also open to any other suggestions.

Thanks!

On single stage paint you want to compound /polish to remove the top layer......You can do this with light cut compound or PB SSR 2.5...Then polish would be my choice and followup with paste wax.......The cracking part present a problem its going to fill into the cracks and be hard to impossible to get out......Is this fine hair lines cracks from aging?

:yeah You will want to find a product with fillers in it. Can you use a glaze on a SS paint job anyone? IF you can glaze then you can use that to hide some defects but polishing is the best solution IMHO.

You can glaze a SS paint but the cracks are the problem they are going to fill with whatever you apply
